In Season 4, episode 2 of HOKA ONE ONE Top Trails, we visit Seattle, WA. Writer and runner, Brett Rawson (Fleet Feet Seattle) takes us on a run on the trails in Grand Ridge Park, just outside Issaquah, WA. Brett discusses his fascination with “un” words, and how for him, running fuels writing and vise-versa.  

We also talk to famous ultra-runner Brian Morrison (owner, Fleet Feet Seattle) about his heartbreaking DNF at mile 99 of the 2006 Western States 100. After struggling to stand under his own power over the final 250 meters, he crossed the finish line in first place, but was disqualified for the physical help he received from his crew. After a decade long journey, with several failed attempts at completing another hundred mile race, Brian finally completed the Western States 100 in 2016. Brian discusses how getting the monkey off his back has allowed him to shift his focus toward putting on his own 100-Mile race, the Teanaway Country 100, which took place on September 15, 2018.
